Although the matrix has a high center of gravity, body roll is meager and steering is precise. The matrix gives the feeling every sporty car offers, the brakes also contribute to it sport-like features as it is very effective. Both the standard and XR levels come with a 1.8-liter four cylinder engine which yield a 130 hp, but when they are equipped with an all-wheel drive it reduces to 123 hp. Accessible only with the front wheel drive the XRS has a 180 rendering of the 1.8-liter engine. This increase in power is as a result of its mutable lift and valve timing, which is in action between 6000 rpm and the 8400 rpm redline. When the revs become lower, the XRS performance becomes equal with the customary 130-horsepower engine.

So in order to be in line with it incredible performance the rev range most be high. The XRS engine does not give any extra power unless the vehicle is been revved to about 6500 rpm.

Maximum Speed Test of the XRS Model

The two-wheel drive models are much sportier than the four wheel drive models. This is because the four wheel drive models are only applicable with an automatic transmission and a 123 hp engine. The four wheel drive comes with more weigh (185 more pounds) and marginally less power than the two wheel drive in addition with the friction produced by it system. All of this making 2WD models faster than the 4WD models. Although the 4WD models offers a higher traction needed for un-surfaced roads.
